Papua New Guinea Community Celebrations in Canberra

Institutional engagement with the local Papua New Guinea community and events to launch exhibitions to mark the 50th anniversary of independence of Papua New Guinea were held across the cultural triangle of Canberra on Saturday 13 September 2025.

Some photographs are shared of some highlights of the Bilong Papua New Guinea: 50 Years of Independence exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia which opened on 13 September and featured an audience of around 300 in the gallery enjoying the harmonious sounds . . .
