The large artwork Nawian acquired in June 2025 by the National Gallery of Australia is part of a broad project at the crossroad between creative arts, anthropology and environmental conservation. The project centred at Divine Word University, one of the main Papua New Guinea universities, and involves the participation of villagers from Madang and East Sepik Provinces. It started in September 2023 when a group of carpenters working for the university workshop formed a group called Bus Graun Bilong Mipela
