Despite the many trials and tribulations of the year 2020, the OAS has continued to make plans for the future, and we even managed to hold a couple of exciting “live” meetings and talks in Sydney – most recently our 25th Annual General Meeting and end-of-year event, which was a great success. The Committee has worked very hard during the year and been joined by more new faces. All of our media – the Journal, the Website, Facebook and Instagram are developing faster than ever – helped by a new influx of energetic talent. We expect to re-start the Sydney lecture series at the National Art School in March and to stage the Sydney Oceanic Art Fair in August 2021. We expect to stage two International Forums in 2022, in Brisbane (April) and in Melbourne (November). Meanwhile, my report to the AGM is available for download below, or read online.
We absolutely depend on your support for our activities. If your membership has recently lapsed or is about to do so, please renew now so that we can continue our work to further the appreciation and understanding of Oceanic Art worldwide, and you can continue to access our current Journal articles.
